Our lives are ever-evolving stories, shaped by change, growth, and unexpected transitions. While these shifts can be challenging, they also create powerful opportunities for self-discovery. Before becoming a mental health counselor, I earned a master’s degree in business and spent years in the corporate world, gaining firsthand experience with career growth, workplace dynamics, and professional transitions. Through that experience, I saw how deeply our work intertwines with identity and well-being, realizing that my true fulfillment came from supporting others on a deeper, more personal level. My background, with years of mentoring professionals, allows me to bring a unique perspective to counseling, particularly for those exploring a new career path, stepping into leadership, experiencing burnout, or feeling unfulfilled. I provide compassionate support alongside strategic problem-solving to help navigate these challenges with confidence and clarity.
I also have experience with the delicate balance between career aspirations and family life. Through my own personal journey, I developed a deep passion for working with women navigating the emotional and physical complexities of fertility concerns, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and motherhood. These experiences are deeply personal, accompanied by hope, excitement, fear, and grief. I understand the isolation and lack of support that often comes with these transitions. With specialized training in medical trauma, I provide support for working through reproductive challenges, becoming a mom, and the evolving sense of self that comes with each stage of womanhood.
My approach to therapy is holistic and trauma-informed, recognizing that healing isn’t just about our thoughts and emotions—it’s also connected to our bodies, experiences, and environment. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and value your innate wisdom. I draw from different approaches—including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and narrative therapy—to support your unique journey. That might mean examining thought patterns, building emotional resilience, or exploring your personal story in a new way. My hope is to help you feel seen and empowered to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University. Previously, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism (2011) and a Master of Business Administration (2014) from the University of Tennessee. I am excited to be on this new path and hope to be a part of your journey as your story unfolds.
